Sum 41 has dubbed its forthcoming album "Chuck" in honor of the United Nations representative that facilitated the Canadian rock band's safe evacuation from the Democratic Republic of Congo in May. As previously reported, the band was in the volatile African nation filming the documentary "From the Front Lines" for aid agency War Child Canada. Though a cease-fire in the civil war had been declared, the situation rapidly disintegrated and fearing for their lives, band members Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Cone and Stevo 32 huddled in a hotel bathroom. Their savior was Chuck Pelletier, who formulated and executed a plan of action that found the band ducking gunfire en route to an armored vehicle. "Chuck" is due Oct. 12 via Island Records.
