乐队简介：Dire Straits成名于七十年代末，他们的音乐是对美好温馨的音乐传统的复兴，也是当代摇滚乐中“美”的诠释者，他们的音乐会带给你对美好旧日时光的回忆，清新淡泊、浪漫脱俗中带些淡淡的忧郁，这是经典摇滚乐中的精品。

　　Dire Straits由吉他手/歌手/主创Mark Knopfler领导，乐队的音乐基调建立在J.J. Cale式的舒缓的布鲁斯摇滚之上，偶然也会有些爵士和乡村音乐的影响，在歌词方面则是以Bob Dylan风格意识流的叙事体之上。在他们的职业生涯中，他们经历了音乐工业的两次重大革命，一个是音乐传播方式MTV的兴起，他们在这场潮流中顺风顺水成了大赢家，而在另一场音乐保存介质的革命中，他们的专辑《Brothers in Arms》则成为了最早的金CD。八十年代中后期，乐队和Eric Clapton、Phil Collins和Steve Winwood一道成为了自觉自省的老牌摇滚艺人的代表，他们为主流摇滚指明了积极的方向。
